Taste. Design. Create. How wonderful to be able to combine my three passions by baking and decorating the most inspiring and delectable sweet treats – from customized and special events cakes to colorful and scrumptious cupcakes, cookies and cake toppers.

My name is Charlotte Oosthuyse and I reside in the quaint little town of Botrivier in the Overberg district in the Western Cape. I studied Textile Design at the Cape Tech – very far from baking I know, but I believe my love for and interest in designing and creating with colour and different materials as well as working with my hands, became eminent here.

A few years back. year after year. I was responsible for the children’s sweet treats table at our local Church’s annual bazaar. I later wanted to add something unique to the table. Something new, exciting and delicious and the decorative cookies came to mind! A very talented photographer and dear friend of mine took pictures of these creations, and very soon I had orders coming in from all over the Western Cape.

The more of these little treats I baked and decorated, the more I started to realize my passion and love for the industry. I believe that a cake should be as beautiful and flavourful on the inside as on the outside. I work from my home. I take great pride in my products and really spend time to listen to the needs and preferences of each and every client. I love a challenge and I invite you to bring your nifty ideas so that we can create the most unforgettable and delectable cake or sweet treat for
that special event or occasion.
