General Information

Imagine this, you’re about to walk out of the chapel for the first time as a married couple. There’s confetti, laughter and cheering on for the new Mr & Mrs – and me! I am there to capture THAT exact moment right there and then, in a watercolour live wedding painting.

I am your medium to capture your relationship in watercolour, whether it’s an original artwork, a live wedding painting, abstract portraits for your guests or even a sip & paint event as the kitchen tea activity.

I am Marijke, a Professional Watercolour Artist with an Honours degree in Information Design, Lecturer in Design and Marketing (and sometimes doubles as a veil-holder, tissue-giver or content creator at weddings while I paint). My mission is to create affordable art with sentimental meaning, unique and special to you.

Art is so subjective and usually expensive. I pride myself that my art won’t break the bank; what’s more is that you get to choose what you want to have painted. I am here to tailor your package to exactly what you would like at my one-stop-shop watercolour hub.

My services:

• Original art from photos:
  You send me a photo (people, pets, etc) and I paint it in watercolour. It can even be a combination of photos, fully customisable with what colours and any other extra elements you’d like.


• Live wedding painting
  Painted live during your wedding. This is where I capture a moment in your day like your first kiss, etc.


• Abstract guest portraits
  Quick 10min abstract guest portraits. Can be painted live or prior to the wedding, as thank-you-gifts or table arrangements. Different packages are available and can be tailored to suit your wedding.


• Kitchen tea/ bachelorette workshops/ Sip & paint events:
  Paint your own watercolour artwork or paint along with me with the artwork of your choice. Different packages available and can be tailored to suit your event.
