TERMS & CONDITIONS: WIN A HONEYMOON
The Participants herewith enter the Bruidsgids Win a Honeymoon Competition (“the competition”) and shall be eligible to participate and win the competition subject to the following terms and conditions:
- All Participants are required to be South African citizens and shall present Bruidsgids with a valid South African passport and / or identification document upon request to do so.
- All Participants should be legally married in accordance with the marital laws of South Africa. Marriages which do not comply with these criteria shall automatically disqualify the Participants from entering and participating in the competition. Participants are referred to the guidelines and information published by the Department of Home Affairs from time to time (http://www.dha.gov.za/index.php/civic-services/marriage-certificates.).
- The marriage of the Participants should have been concluded within the last 12 months or within 6 months from the 2nd of September 2024. Participants should not be in the process of divorce or separation from their spouse.
- Polygamous marriages are specifically excluded.
- Notwithstanding the above, Participants should be between the ages of 22 and 45 (both inclusive) to be eligible to participate in the competition.
- The Participants acknowledge that they are aware of the nature and extent of the services, products and other gifts comprising the prize and that Bruidsgids shall not be liable for any additional service, product or other gift other than what has been disclosed to the Participants prior to the competition.
- Travel and other costs not specifically indicated to be included, shall be excluded from the prize.
- The Participants acknowledge and accept that the prize shall be sponsored by affiliates, sponsors and / or vendors of Bruidsgids, and that Bruidsgids shall therefore, at its sole discretion, be permitted to change and / or alter the specific products, services and gifts received by the winning Participants.
- Employees, associates, sponsors, suppliers, any person directly or indirectly involved in the planning, organisation, and facilitation of the competition, as well as the immediate family members of Bruidsgids’ employees, shall not be eligible to participate in the competition.
- Prizes are non-transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Participants shall strictly adhere to the competition Rules and Regulations issued by Bruidsgids from time to time.
- The judges’ decisions are final, and no objections or further requests shall be entertained.
- No entries shall be accepted after the closing date of the competition.
- The Participants grant Bruidsgids a non-exclusive royalty-free license and consent to use, distribute and / or commercially exploit their images, photos and other intellectual property.
- The Participants agree that Bruidsgids shall by no means be liable for any damage, loss or harm suffered by the Participants specifically caused by the competition or any other event or occurrence in relation therewith. This shall include, but shall not be limited to, reputational damage and / or loss of revenue.
- Bruidsgids shall further not be liable for the quality of services and products provided to the Participants by the vendors and sponsors of Bruidsgids. Whilst Bruidsgids shall endeavour to ensure that its vendors and sponsors deliver services and goods of a good, acceptable standard, it shall in no manner be liable for any loss or damage suffered by the Participants as a result of goods and services of a substandard nature.
- Any indulgence or latitude by Bruidsgids in respect of these terms and conditions should not be construed as a waiver or a novation of the rights and obligations in terms hereof.
- Bruidsgids may at its sole discretion amend, supplement, or modify these terms and conditions from time to time. Bruidsgids shall however notify Participants should it opt to make any changes or amendments in this regard.
- Bruidsgids shall, at any stage prior to or after the announcement of the winner of the competition, be entitled to cancel the competition should it no longer be viable and / or possible to continue with the competition due to circumstances beyond the control of Bruidsgids.
- The Participants shall at all relevant times protect and preserve the good name and reputation of Bruidsgids and undertakes to conduct themselves in a manner which aligns with the moral values and ethical standards of Bruidsgids and its representatives.
- In the event of the Participants’ breach of these Terms and Conditions and / or failure to comply with any of the Rules and Regulations pertaining to the Competition, Bruidsgids shall be entitled to immediately disqualify the Participants from the competition, in which event the Participants shall no longer be eligible to receive the prize or any other benefit forthcoming from the competition.
- The Participants consent to the use of their personal information and undertakes comply with the provisions of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 and Regulations and process all the information and / or personal data in accordance with the said legislation and only for the purpose of delivering the rights and obligations in terms of these terms and conditions.
- The parties hereto agree not to disclose the confidential information communicated between the parties, be it verbally or in writing or in any form of electronic format, or information of any nature.
BRUIDSGIDS PRIVATE PRIVACY STATEMENT – effective date 20 September 2023
THIS PRIVACY STATEMENT FORMS PART OF BRUIDSGIDS GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ANY TERM OF THIS PRIVACY STATEMENT, YOU MUST CEASE YOUR ACCESS IMMEDIATELY.
1. Definitions and Interpretation
1.1. “Bruidsgids” means Bruidsgids (Pty) Ltd.

2.1. BRUIDSGIDS respects your privacy. This privacy policy statement sets out BRUIDSGIDS’s information gathering and dissemination practices.
2.2. This Privacy Policy governs the processing of personal information provided to BRUIDSGIDS.
2.3. Please note that, due to legal and other developments, BRUIDSGIDS may amend these terms and conditions from time to time. The version of the terms and conditions effective for this Privacy Policy are indicated by the effective date incorporated in the title of this Privacy Policy. It is your duty to remain appraised of the current version of this Privacy Policy. The date indicated in the heading of this Privacy Policy is the effective date that governs the browsing and use of this Privacy Policy from that date until the next revision of this Privacy Policy becomes effective.
2.4. By continuing to browse or use this Privacy Statement after a revised Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes your agreement to observe this Privacy Policy as it may be revised.
3. Processing of Personal Information
3.1. By providing your personal information to BRUIDSGIDS, you acknowledge that it has been collected directly from you and consent to its processing by BRUIDSGIDS.
3.2. Where you submit Personal Information (such as name, address, telephone number and email address) via the website (e.g. through completing any online form), the following principles are observed in the processing of that information:
3.2.1. BRUIDSGIDS will only collect personal information for a purpose consistent with the purpose for which it is required. The specific purpose for which information is collected will be apparent from the context in which it is requested.
3.2.2. BRUIDSGIDS will only process personal information in a manner that is adequate, relevant and not excessive in the context of the purpose for which it is processed.
3.2.3. Personal information will only be processed for a purpose compatible with that for which it was collected unless you have agreed to an alternative purpose in writing or BRUIDSGIDS is permitted in terms of national legislation of general application dealing primarily with the protection of personal information.
3.2.4. BRUIDSGIDS will keep records of all personal Information collected and the specific purpose for which it was collected for a period of 1 (one) year from the date on which it was last used.
3.2.5. BRUIDSGIDS will not disclose any personal information relating to you to any third party unless your prior written agreement is obtained or BRUIDSGIDS is required to do so by law.
3.2.6. If personal information is released with your consent, BRUIDSGIDS will retain a record of the information released, the third party to which it was released, the reason for the release and the date of release for a period of 1 (one) year from the date on which it was last used.
3.2.7. BRUIDSGIDS will destroy or delete any personal information that BRUIDSGIDS no longer needs for the purpose for which it was initially collected or subsequently processed.
3.3. Note that, as permitted by the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, BRUIDSGIDS may use personal information collected to compile profiles for statistical purposes. No information contained in the profiles or statistics will be able to be linked to any specific user.
4. Collection of anonymous data
4.1. BRUIDSGIDS may use standard technology to collect information about the use of its website and social media platforms. This technology is not able to identify individual users but simply allows BRUIDSGIDS to collect statistics.
4.2. BRUIDSGIDS may utilise temporary or session cookies to keep track of users’ browsing habits. A cookie is a small file placed on your hard drive to keep a record of your interaction with BRUIDSGIDS website and facilitate user convenience.
4.2.1. Cookies by themselves will not be used to identify users personally. Still, they may be used to compile identified statistics relating to the use of services offered or to provide BRUIDSGIDS with feedback on the performance of its website.

- Not valid for Travel between 19 December – 5 January. Weekends, school holidays, and Easter and Christmas holidays are specifically excluded.

- Fees and Levies payable upon booking confirmation (R1 004 pp in 2024 and estimate of R1 106 pp in 2025).
- Extras are payable by cash or credit card on departure from the lodge.
- This prize is not exchangeable for cash or any other services provided and is not transferable.
- Any extension of stay will be charged at the standard rate.
- This prize may not be redeemed in conjunction with any package in existence or on offer at any time.
- The prize is redeemable to South African Residents only.
