The Participants herewith enter the Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt Win a Wedding Competition (“the competition”). They shall be eligible to participate and win the competition subject to the following terms and conditions:

All Participants must be South African citizens and shall present Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt with a valid South African passport and/or identification document upon request.
All Participants should meet the requirements to enter a valid civil marriage in South Africa. Marriages that do not comply with these criteria shall automatically disqualify the Participants from entering and participating in the competition. Participants are referred to the guidelines and information published by the Department of Home Affairs from time to time (http://www.dha.gov.za/index.php/civic-services/marriage-certificates).
Polygamous marriages are expressly excluded.
Notwithstanding the above, Participants should be between the ages of 22 and 45 (both inclusive) to be eligible to participate in the competition.
The Participants acknowledge that they are aware of the nature and extent of the services, products, and other gifts comprising the prize and that Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt shall not be liable for any additional service, product, or other gift other than what was disclosed to them before the competition.
The Participants shall invite 80 guests to the prize wedding, including two Bruidsgids and two Die GROOT Ontbyt representatives.
By entering the “Win a Wedding” competition, entrants agree that Bruidsgids, Die GROOT Ontbyt, and Etienne Bedeker INC. may use their contact details and any other information provided for marketing purposes. This may include, but is not limited to, direct marketing, newsletters, and promotional offers.
The prize shall be redeemable exclusively within the borders of South Africa.
Travel, accommodation, and other costs not expressly indicated to be included are excluded from the prize. If you’re in the top 5, you will be responsible for travelling to the studio on your account.
The Participants acknowledge and accept that the prize wedding will be sponsored by affiliates, sponsors, and/or vendors of Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt and that Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt shall, therefore, be permitted to change and/or alter the specific products, services, and gifts received by the winning Participants at their sole discretion.
Employees, associates, sponsors, suppliers, and anyone directly and indirectly involved in the competition’s planning, organisation, and facilitation shall not be permitted to participate.
The immediate family members of Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt employees shall not be eligible to participate in the competition.
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Participants shall strictly adhere to the competition Rules and Regulations issued by Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt from time to time.

The specific practical arrangements and applicable dates of the competition, forming part of these terms and conditions, are as follows:

After receiving the Participants’ entry form, story, and expectations concerning the wedding day, they will receive a short code before 24 February 2025 to start voting via SMS.
All Participants will vote via SMS (R5 per SMS) to win the wedding.
The Top 5 Participants will be considered by a panel of judges who will ultimately choose the winner of the prize wedding. The judges’ decisions are final, and no objections or further requests will be entertained.
The prize wedding will take place on 3 October 2025. The winners of Win a Wedding with Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt acknowledge and agree that the wedding venue will be located in Mpumalanga, South Africa. The location of the venue in Mpumalanga is final and cannot be changed.
Each vendor will be responsible for directly communicating with the winner from 4 April 2025. Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt will not be liable for arranging or planning the wedding day but will only host and advertise the giveaway.
The agreed price covers the services stipulated in the terms & conditions but does not include transportation or accommodation expenses for the winners or their guests unless otherwise stipulated.

By participating in the competition, Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt will not financially support the vendors or Participants. All expenses will be at their own cost.
The Top 20, Top 12, Top 5, and winners will be contacted directly using the contact details provided in the entry form.
Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt reserve the right to verify the validity of any entries. They shall have the sole discretion to reject any entries should they deem such rejection appropriate and necessary.
Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt will not be held liable for any costs or expenses incurred during and for purposes of participating in the competition.
The giveaway will be posted on 3 February 2025; entries open.
Entries will close at 12 pm on 21 February 2025. Voting to get into the Top 20 will be from the 24th of February 2025 to the 28th of February 2025 at 12 pm. The top 20 will be announced on the 3rd of March 2025, and voting to get into the Top 12 will start on the 3rd of March 2025.
Voting for the top 12 closes at 12 pm on 14 March 2025. The Top 12 will be announced on the 17th of March, 2025. Voting for the top 5 opens after the announcement.
Voting for the Top 5 will close on 28 March 2025 at 12 pm. The top 5 will be announced on 31 March 2025. If one of the contestants withdraws or is disqualified from the competition, the person next in line will be considered part of the top five.
The winner will be announced on the 4th of April, 2025.

The top 5 must be available to come to the studio of Die GROOT Ontbyt for the live winner announcement on the 4th of April, 2025. The address is 26 Ringwood Road, Lynnwood Manor, Pretoria.

The Participants grant Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt a non-exclusive royalty-free license and consent to use, distribute, and commercially exploit their images, photos, and other intellectual property.

The Participants agree that Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt shall by no means be liable for any damage, loss, or harm suffered by the Participants specifically caused by the competition or any other event or occurrence in relation in addition to that. This shall include, but shall not be limited to, reputational damage and loss of revenue.

Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt shall not be liable for the quality of services and products provided to the Participants by the vendors and sponsors of Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt.

Any indulgence or latitude by Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt in respect of these terms and conditions should not be construed as a waiver or a novation of the rights and obligations in terms hereof.
At their sole discretion, Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt may occasionally amend, supplement, or modify these terms and conditions. However, Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt shall notify Participants should they opt to make any changes or amendments.
Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt shall, at any stage before or after the announcement of the winner of the competition, be entitled to cancel the competition should it no longer be viable and possible to continue with the competition due to circumstances beyond their control.
The Participants shall at all relevant times protect and preserve the good name and reputation of Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt and undertake to conduct themselves in a manner which aligns with the moral values and ethical standards of Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt and their representatives.
In the event of the Participants’ breach of these Terms and Conditions and failure to comply with any of the Rules and Regulations about the Competition, Bruidsgids and Die GROOT Ontbyt shall be entitled to immediately disqualify the Participants from the competition, in which event the Participants shall no longer be eligible to receive the prize or any other benefit forthcoming from the competition.
The Participants consent to the use of their personal information and undertake to comply with the provisions of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 and Regulations and process all the information and personal data by the said legislation and only to deliver the rights and obligations in terms of these terms and conditions.
The parties hereto agree not to disclose confidential information communicated between them, whether verbally, in writing, in any form of electronic format, or of any nature.
By entering the “Win a Wedding” competition, entrants agree that Bruidsgids, Die GROOT Ontbyt, and Etienne Bedeker INC. may use their contact details and any other information provided for marketing purposes. This may include, but is not limited to, direct marketing, newsletters, and promotional offers.

The specific practical arrangements and applicable rules to the SMS voting line, forming part of these terms and conditions, are as follows:

31.1. Network fees may apply.

32.2. LogicSMS is a member of WASPA and is bound by the WASPA Code of Conduct. Customers have the right to approach WASPA to lodge a complaint in accordance with the WASPA complaints procedure. LogicSMS may be required to share information relating to a service or a customer with WASPA for the purpose of resolving a complaint. WASPA web site: waspa.org.za.

33.3. LogicSMS has the right to suspend or terminate the services of any customer who does not comply with these terms and conditions or any other related contractual obligations.

34.4. LogicSMS has the right to take down any content (hosted as part of the service) that it considers illegal or for which it has received a take-down notice.

35.5. A cell phone registered on a South African network with access to SMS capabilities. Cell phones will need an SMS application and sufficient airtime. Free SMS/airtime does not apply.

The service won’t be used by Bruidsgids (Pty) Ltd:

to intentionally engage in illegal conduct
to knowingly create, store, or disseminate any illegal content
to knowingly infringe copyright
to knowingly infringe any intellectual property rights, or
to send spam or promote the sending of spam

The terms and conditions for any service must not contain clauses contradicting the WASPA Code of Conduct requirements.
The service must only be used with the billpayer’s permission (for paid services).
The service must only be used with the permission of a parent or guardian (for children’s services).

The winner’s wedding will be published in Wedding Guide 2027, up to a value of R33 800. Bruidsgids has the final approval of the images used in the spread.

Terms & Conditions: Cafe Fleur – Flowers & Décor

Prize worth: R19 510

Delivery, setup, and collection costs are excluded as an additional cost.
All candles are excluded.
Eight guest tables and one main table will be included.
Cutlery & crockery are included.
All décor stock must be stocked from Cafe Fleur and not sub-hired.
All flowers must be in season; Orchids, Peonies, & Hydrangeas are excluded.
Eight guest tables and one main table will be provided with underplates, napkins, cutlery, glasses, crockery, runners, and candleholders with flowers.
Bridal bouquets, bridesmaids, flower girls, and buttonholes will also be excluded. The ceremony arch and draping, aisle décor, flowers, and rose petals will also be excluded.

The winners will only hire the wedding dress, suit, and bridesmaids’ dresses.

1.⁠ ⁠Prize Details: The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
The items included in the prize are provided on a hire basis to the winning couple for the bride, groom, and bridesmaids.
2.⁠ ⁠Garment Selection: Winners may only choose garments (wedding gown, suit, and bridesmaids’ dresses) from a pre-selected range offered by Diaan Daniels Couture.
All garments selected will be chosen based on their suitability for resale by Diaan Daniels Couture.
3.⁠ ⁠Liability: All hired garments are provided at the winner’s and bridal party’s own risk.
Any damage, loss, or theft of garments will make the winners liable for repair or replacement costs as determined by Diaan Daniels Couture.
4.⁠ ⁠Additional Costs: If the garments selected exceed the sponsored amount, the winners will be responsible for paying the difference.

Prize worth: R15 700

Executive Hair and Make-up Package, Bride Make-up and Hair Trail (R3200), Bride Make-up and Hair on the wedding day (R3200), 4 Bridal Party members Make-up and Hair on the wedding day (R7000), Including Lashes (R500), Assistant Fee (R800), Fuel (R1000).

Trials take place at my Home Studio in Pretoria East (Lynnwood).
Trials should be booked 6-9 weeks before your wedding date.
Pinterest boards and pictures of inspiration for your look and feel can be shared prior to your trial.
An assistant make-up artist will be supplied at bigger weddings. There may be an additional cost to you for travelling fees/accommodation. There is also an R800 assistant fee for local weddings and R2000 for destination weddings. This is dependent on numbers and timing.
Everyone requiring hair/make-up must be at the same venue.
Please make sure that all clients have clean faces, free of make-up & moisturizer is applied.
Clients that do hair, clean, dry hair, please.
A timeline will be shared beforehand. (Estimate time needed 08H00 – 14H00)

Terms & Conditions: Okay Deer – Photography

Prize worth: R23 400.00

1 Photographer, 8 Hours, 750+ Edited photos.
Engagmenet shoot included. The engagement shoot is a good opportunity for you to get comfortable in front of my camera. 1 Hour. 80+ Edited photos supplied through an online gallery—location of your choice.
This package captures your wedding story from getting ready to the ceremony, family photos, the wedding party, couple photos, and the party at the reception. It is beautifully delivered to an online gallery for you to download and keep.
Travel and accommodation are not included.

Terms & Conditions: The Big Day Cake Studio – Cake

Prize worth: R15 250.00

A four-tier wedding cake consists of four parts cake: the top three tiers are cake, and the bottom tier is a dummy cake with decor.
A cake tasting for four people to the value of R500.
Delivery and setup to Ermelo value R1 500.
First anniversary cake (1 year) R1 500 (for collection).
Bridal shower cake for 20-25 people value R1 500 (for collection).
This prize can not be exchanged for cash or transferred to someone else.
The cake on the main cake can be exchanged for a dummy cake, and then cake portions to replace the cake part = for 80 persons.
Only cake flavours from the list provided can be chosen.
Any cakes with special flavours may have an additional cost.

Terms & Conditions: Vanbi – Neon light

Prize worth: R4 800

1200mm wide custom-made neon sign (only one line with an average height of about 350mm.
The client will be able to choose different fonts and colours. The sign will include the following (Wall Mounting Stainless Steel Brackets, 72Watt Power Supply and a 3-point plug).
Money box – The money box will be customised with the couple’s initials and can afterwards be used as a box where the bride’s flowers can be put into. The Box is made of Clear Acrylic; specific sizes are 300mm x 250mm x 150mm) Worth R4800.00
Delivery/Courier will be at the cost of the bridal couple and Vanbi will not be held responsible should anything happen to the packages through the courier.
The Bridal couple must give Vanbi at least one month’s notice before the wedding day so we can ensure that we have enough time to finish the products.
